PS4 and PS5 can play together, as can those on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. However, players on PS4 and Xbox One/Xbox One S cannot host multiplayer sessions in Dead Island 2. Hosting sessions is limited to those on PS4 Pro, PS5, Xbox One X, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Don't care. Other people usually ruin things or hold me back, so solo only for me.

I'm a long time lover of Dead Rising and have never played Co-op. My fiance has shown an interest in playing it with me, but I heard that there is no cross play co op. However, I can play the ps4 game on the ps5, so would it work to have one game on the ps4 and one on the ps5. I would test it, but the test alone requires me to buy the game
