I changed the oil Saturday on my 2008 800 Outie XT @ 1000 miles mark, and when I unscrewed the drain plug, it broke a few threads up high on the cylinder ( Can Am actually have a cylinder type that the drain plug screws up into and not just a few threads).
100. Yearly. 2,000. Inspect pads & replace if heavily worn (also check brake fluids and overall brake cleanliness; clean if needed) Gearbox Oil. 400 / 200. 2 Years. 4,000 / 3,000. Replace at 2,000 and 4,000 miles, then revert to regular schedule (1,000 and 3,000 for severe use)

thought this was just an old thread but the new (XMR) valve covers don't warp at least as easily as the older ones. like the old CVT covers this is an update. my '07 is leaking (weeping) too. I have the new covers for it. my X MR does not leak. it has well over 100hrs on it. 011 X MR. 07 "500R XMR" Outlander.
